I am a Danbury native and attended public schools, including Danbury High and Western CT State University.
I spent nine years on the Common Council, the legislative body for the City of Danbury, two of which I was the Legislative Leader. I also served on the Democratic Town Committee.
I was chair and fundraising chair of Danbury Youth Services, and was instrumental in spearheading one of their major, and most popular, fundraising mechanisms - the annual Police Department/Fire Department basketball tournament. I am Treasurer of the Stanley L. Richter Association for the Arts and I am President and board member of Friends of Richter (FORe).
I have experience in public relations, and work in the Alumni Relations office at Western Connecticut State University.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Emil, for over 40 years and have two sons and one daughter-in-law, Chris, Richie and Jenna, respectively. I am a proud grandma to Tristan.
I am a member of St. Gregory the Great Church.
